Maximum Loss Per Trade Policy

The Maximum Floating Loss Per Trade rule limits how much an individual trade or trading position can lose while it is open.

This rule is based on the account starting balance and applies to the maximum floating loss reached while the position is open, not only the final closed PnL.

Instant Funding Standard

Instant Funding Standard has a maximum floating loss per trade of 1% of the account starting balance.

If an open trade or trading position reaches a floating loss of 1%, this will count as a violation.

Instant Funding Standard uses a three-strike system:

  • First Violation: Reward split reduced to 50%. The account remains active.

  • Second Violation: Reward split reduced to 25%. The account remains active.

  • Third Violation: The funded account is permanently breached.

Example:

On a $100,000 account, the maximum floating loss allowed on a trade or trading position is $1,000.

Instant Funding Pro & AquaMan

Instant Funding Pro and AquaMan accounts have a maximum floating loss per trade of 2% of the account starting balance.

Example:

On a $50,000 account, if an open trade or trading position reaches a floating loss of $1,000, the 2% limit has been reached.

Important Note for $300k & $400k Accounts

For $300,000 and $400,000 accounts, a stricter floating risk limit applies.

If your floating PnL drops below -1% of the account balance, the account will be permanently closed.

All other Instant Funding Pro and AquaMan accounts remain subject to the 2% floating risk limit.

Important: The rule looks at the maximum floating loss reached while the trade or position is open. Closing the position at a smaller loss does not remove a violation that has already occurred.
