AquaFunded provides immediate access to a funded account, allowing you to begin trading without delay. To maximise this opportunity, it's crucial to have a flexible trading strategy and a strong risk management plan in place
Instant Funding - Standard Model
The Instant Funding Standard Model offers immediate access to a funded account with specific rules for managing your trading risks and profits.
Account Violations (Hard Breach)
All Instant funding Models have trailing drawdown.
Hard breach are serious violations to our established rules. A hard breach happens when a trader exceeds the maximum daily loss or total drawdown limit, resulting in the immediate closure of the account.
Max Drawdown – 3% (Trailing)
What is it?
The maximum total drawdown is 3% of your highest recorded account balance, making it a trailing drawdown. This means the drawdown limit increases as your account balance grows, but it will never exceed 3% of the highest balance reached.
For a $100,000 account:
If your account reaches $105,000, your trailing drawdown limit becomes $102,000 (3% below your highest balance).
If your account then drops to $103,000, your drawdown limit remains at $102,000, because it is based on the highest balance reached, not the current balance.
Your drawdown limit follows your highest balance and remains 3% below that peak value at all times. It does not decrease if your account balance drops — it only moves up when a new high is reached.
Your drawdown limit follows your highest balance and remains 3% of that value at all times.
Consistency Rule
What is it?
The consistency rule is in place to ensure steady profits over time. It states that one trading day cannot account for 20% or more of your total profits during a payout period.
Example:
If you make $1,500 in one trading day, your total profits must reach at least $7,500 to be eligible to request a payout. You cannot request a payout until the highest profit day falls below 20% of the total profits for the period.
What Happens if I Violate the 20% Rule?
Will my account be terminated?
No, violating the 20% rule will not result in account termination. However, you will be unable to request a payout until your highest profit trading day is below 20% of your total profits.
What should I do next?
Continue trading and generating profits until your highest profit day falls below the 20% threshold. Once this happens, you can request a payout again.
Maximum Loss Per Trade Policy
If your floating PnL (profit and loss) drops below -2% of the account starting balance, the account will be permanently closed. This ensures strict adherence to risk management protocols and safeguards the integrity of our funding process.
Example:
For a $50,000 account balance, if your combined open PnL across all active trades reaches a loss of $1,000 (-2%), the account will be closed immediately.
This rule emphasizes the importance of disciplined trading and risk management, ensuring that traders operate within acceptable risk parameters to maintain the longevity of their trading careers.
Consequences for Exceeding the -2% Risk Limit:
- Immediate and permanent closure of the account.
- No further trading activity will be permitted on the breached account
Important Note for $300k Accounts
For $300,000 accounts, a stricter floating risk limit applies.
If your floating PnL drops below -1% of the account balance, the account will be permanently closed.
All other Instant Funding Standard, Pro, and AquaMan accounts remain subject to the -2% floating risk limit.
